Recital of Hadith by Sheikh Muhammad Mujir al-Khatib who read the collection of 40 Ahadith by ibn Asakir from the Mihrab of Dar al-Hadith al-Nuriyyah, Damascus, Syria on Sun, 2 November 2025 from the spot presumably where ibn Asakir would have taught from and from where he would have compiled his works. Sheikh Mujir is the current Sheikh of Dar al-Hadith al-Nuriyyah.

Built by Sultan Nuruddeen Zangi rahimahullah, it was possibly the first institution to specialize in Hadith. The first Sheikh was Ibn Asakir rahimahullah, who compiled the 40 Hadith on Jihad on the instructions of Sultan Nuruddeen.
